Fire Safety Advice

In light of the devastating events in London, St Vincent’s and VHS  want to provide reassurance that we take the health and safety of our customers, visitors and staff very seriously.

We invest heavily in ensuring we comply with all fire safety legislation. In the last four years we have invested in excess of £750,000 in upgrading fire safety measures. These include fire doors, smoke alarms, fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems and door closers.

Fire precautions within our properties are kept up to date with specialist surveyors carrying out independent inspections and we are 100% compliant.

St Vincent’s does not have any multi-storey blocks above 6 floors and none of our properties have been fitted with curtain wall cladding, currently being related in the news to the fire at Grenfell Tower in London.

However, we want to assure customers that we are not complacent with our responsibility in this area and take great care to ensure that the fire precautions built into our properties are maintained. We work closely with all Fire and Rescue Services within our areas.  These include Cheshire, Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire and Lancashire.
